Our Teachers

Meet the Teachers of Tracie's Music Together!

Our teachers come from all sorts of backgrounds, but they’re united by a common passion: Sharing  music with children and families in South Florida!  We are alike!  You will LOVE any of our teachers!  That's a PROMISE!

All teachers have successfully completed the live Music Together Teacher Training, which is built on research in early childhood and music development. We keep our skills fresh through workshops every semester and advanced trainings offered by Music Together Worldwide.

I have been teaching Music Together® since 2004. I was awarded Level 1 Certification for having demonstrated outstanding achievements in teaching, musicianship, program philosophy, and parent education. The award was granted by the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey, Kenneth Guilmartin, Founder/Director. I say it all the time: one of my favorite places to be in the world is IN a Music Together class! I love the kids, the music, the dancing, the laughter, the community... EVERYTHING! I know when you attend a Music Together class, you will feel the same. It's a magical program. My passion for having fun with kids (and getting the PARENTS to have fun) is the driving force behind the success of my program. I grew up in the Midwest - a big family girl - and have lived in Chicago and San Francisco. I earned my MBA in Chicago and now run both this lovely program and a very active family. My three kids and I live in Palm Beach Gardens. I can't wait for you to join my class! Also, please note the new outreach component of Tracie's Music Together... I'm extra proud of this!

photo Miss Sherlyn

Ms. Sherlyn is a Florida native, growing up in the Tampa area. She has been very actively involved in music her whole life. Her early years were filled with varied musical opportunities such as singing at the top of her lungs in her hair brush, church and school choirs, teaching her stuffed friends and live playmates “popular songs”, private piano and voice lessons, community choirs, and music camps. She loves music from the top of her head to the tips of her toes to the depths of her very soul. Professionally, she has over 10 years of experience teaching piano and voice lessons as well as leading and training church musicians. She has a Bachelor’s degree  in English Literature with a minor in Vocal Performance as well as a Master’s degree in Ministry and Theology with a volunteer management emphasis, both from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She also taught middle school for  several years, so she has the patience of a saint and a vastly nuanced sense of humor. To pay her way through graduate school, she was in a professional caroling troop and she even twisted balloon creations for children’s parties and restaurants. She is mother to 1 year old Helen and 4 yr old Lilianne and spends most of her days singing and dancing to princess songs, as well as Music Together CDs of course. She strives to make learning fun and instill the love of formal and informal music education in all of her students as well as their parents!

Miss Nicola is from Vancouver, Canada and has been living in America since 2007.  She began performing at the age of 4 and has a deep love of dance, singing and everything musical theater.  She took her first Music Together class in 2008 as a nanny and quickly fell in love with the Music Together program.  After many years of being a full time mommy, Miss Nicola finally decided to join our team and become a Music Together teacher as well as a preschool teacher at The Treetop Academy.  She is thrilled to be here and bring her love of children, music and dance to all of us.

Miss Lizzie is originally from the Midwest but has spent most of her life in South Florida.  She grew up loving musicals and performing in chamber and show choirs.  In high school she performed in the chorus of the Palm Beach Opera Company at The Kravis Center.  She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Education.  While working as a preschool teacher, she attended graduate school at Florida Atlantic University and earned her Master’s degree in Counselor Education.  She first took her now 3-year-old son Luke to a Music Together class when he was one and they both quickly fell in love.  Miss Lizzie is so happy to join the Music Together family and share the joy that Music Together has brought into her home with other families.  She can’t wait to sing, dance, and have fun with you!!

photo Miss Kat

Miss Kat has always loved singing and music. As a child, she was in choir, band and picked up the guitar! By age 14, she was writing her own songs and playing in her youth group. Music was her passion and acted as a huge creative outlet for her. At 18, she became the worship director of her church in California. Kat and her high school sweetheart moved to South Africa where they raised their first three children and participated in community outreach. They eventually relocated to South Florida and had one more child! Miss Kat is so excited to have music back in her life. Music Together has enriched her life and the life of her entire family and she is excited to bring that joy to all her Music Together students.
